4/1/2019 12:00:00 AM

April 2019 – Fratelli Rossetti chose the Fuorisalone to present a limited edition characterized by a heel handmade & heartmade, co-designed with Beirut designer Nada Debs. Sixty exclusive pieces in two versions – off white and red nubuck – will be available only at Fratelli Rossetti boutiques in Milan, Beirut and online.

Nada Debs, exploring the signature craft of contemporary mother-of-pearl inlay in natural solid walnut wood, creates a unique heel featuring a zig-zag pattern. The lines of the illustration symbolize the heartbeat of Milan and Beirut, two buzzing sister cities, both creative hubs on the world design map.

I met Nada on one of my travels to Beirut, a city that I love for its intellectual vivaciousness” says Diego Rossetti, President of the Milanese brand. “I visited her studio and became fascinated with her ability to combine design and craft, values that we shared. This is how this limited edition was born”.

Nada Debs will also be taking over the windows design of the flagship store at 1, Montenapoleone in Milan from Friday, April 5th and throughout the following days of Salone del Mobile until Sunday, April 21 2019.

On Thursday, April 11ththe boutique host an opening event with a DJ-set and wine tasting, starting at 6:30PM. The wine partner for the event will be Guido Berlucchi, which shares with Fratelli Rossetti the same quality-driven pursuit and Made-in-Italy qualities. During the evening it will be possible to taste Berlucchi ’61 Franciacorta Satèn, a wine that is soft, mellow and silky on the palate: an exceptional choice for an aperitif, both inside and outside the glass.

Nada Debs is a Lebanese designer living and working in Beirut. Nada grew up in Japan, studied design at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and has spent significant periods of time living and travelling the world, finding connections between different cultures. In her work, each detail recalls one of her experiences. In essence, she captures the power of the human hand to tell stories that touch the heart. She calls her approach: handmade & heart made.

Fratelli Rossetti was founded in 1953 in Parabiago, a town just outside Milan, thanks to the visionary genius Renzo Rossetti.
